Christine Tan is the Singapore-based anchor for CNBC's longest-running feature program Managing Asia interviewing prominent CEOs and leaders of top companies doing business in Asia.
Tan has more than 17 years of experience in journalism, more than half of which was with CNBC. During her career, she has covered the business and financial market impact from major news events like the Asian Economic Crisis, the Dot Com Bubble Crash, 9-11 attacks in the US and SARS Outbreak.
Mr. Candra Ciputra was appointed President Director of the CIPUTRA GROUP in 2002. He joined the company in 1988 as Business Development Manager and later was entrusted Director in 1990. He currently holds various important positions at companies within the CIPUTRA GROUP - President Director of PT Ciputra Property Tbk, Director of PT Ciputra Surya Tbk and President Commissioner of PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk. With more than 20 years of experience and his remarkable ability in property, he has earned many awards such as CEO of the Year from Property and Bank Magazine for three years in a row (2010-2012), “Golden CEO of The Year” in 2013 and “Property Man of the Year 2014”. Mr. Ciputra has a Bachelor of Finance degree from University of San Francisco, USA and MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, USA.
Dr. (HC) Ir. Ciputra is the Founder and Chairman of CIPUTRA GROUP. He is currently the President Commissioner of the company. He started his career by establishing Daja Cipta Consulting Bureau which became PT Perentjana Djaja in 1962. Later, he established PT Pembangunan Jaya and PT Metropolitan Development and is now a Commissioner of these two companies. He is also actively engaged in social and organizational activities such as the Indonesian Institute of Architects, Indonesian Real Estate Association, Djaja Raya Foundation and Prasetiya Mulya Foundation. Ir. Ciputra holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology and he obtained an honorary Doctorate in Engineering from Tarumanegara University, Jakarta.
Datuk Ismail Ibrahim was appointed as the Chief Executive of Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) in 2010 and advises its Board on planning and implementing the economic, physical and social development strategies towards realising the Vision of Iskandar Malaysia development region as a Strong and Sustainable Metropolis of International Standing. Amongst his many achievements in IRDA include securing a total cumulative investment worth RM166 billion (est. USD46 billion) from 2006 to March 2015 and the successful execution of public infrastructure projects worth over RM8 billion for Iskandar Malaysia.
Mr. Liew Mun Leong has spent 22 years in the public service developing Singapore's Changi Airport, military airports and establishments. He was involved with the construction of Changi Airport from day one in 1975. In 2000, he was the founding CEO of CapitaLand Limited, a public listed real estate company, which under his watch, has become the largest real estate group (by market capitalization) in South East Asia. He currently chairs the Changi Airport Group and Surbana/Jurong International, the largest urban development and infrastructure consultant firm in Singapore. Mr. Liew is also Provost's Chair Professor (Practice) (pro bono) in NUS Business School and Faculty of Engineering.
Mr. S.D. Darmono is the Founder of PT Jababeka - city developer, President University, Chairman of PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association) Indonesia and The Jakarta Old Town Revitalization Corporation (PT Pembangunan Kota Tua Jakarta). Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Darmono built Kota Jababeka in Cikarang-West Java - an industrial city with 1,650 factories and a million residences. He also built Tanjung Lesung, a beach resort in Banten province that has been targeted by local authorities to become an international tourist destination. In the pipeline, he is working on a Kendal Industrial town - a joint venture with Singapore Sembawang Corp, and on Morotai Island - a joint venture with ICDF of Taiwan. Mr. Darmono is the Recipient of Ernst & Young Award in Industry & Manufacturing (2004) and the Recipient of Indonesia CEOs' Choice of the year - Indonesia Business Leader Award (IBLA) - CNBC (2005).
